Morphology - To Morphe - In Language, In Theatre, In Life is to EVOLVE 

I feel I am a keen Morphologist, a scientist and artist studying and transforming the shape and structure of living things/words through my educational experiences, love for linguistics and exploration of English words history vs. Chinese characters, background in Butoh, Theatre of the Oppressed, Qigong, Dance and Somatic Expression + Professional development and work in Social Justice, HIV and Pleasure Activism.

I will always be 唐雯 (my Chinese grandfather gave me my name). I am the granddaughter of Tang Kai. My roots are in Beijing while my background is Chinese, French and Cherokee Indian.

L. Tang is my pen name. LOVE Queen Layla is my chosen empowered name. We all know Lady Gaga as Lady Gaga - Now you know I am the one and only LOVE Queen Layla :) From here on out, feel free to be like my family and call me L or 唐老师 when you connect with me!

I began teaching at age 16 after my start in recording ESL educational materials in China. I am a certified dual language sexual health, language and communication expert who holds TESL with Practicum, TCFL, HCSE, and NYC.GOV Mental Health First Aid Training. Born on September the 1st, I am Virgo Aries Aries, a lover of nature and a natural thespian. A survivor of trafficking from college in Canada, who moved back home afterward working in Hospitality and Guest Relations at the Great Wall of China, then moving to New York only to learn of becoming HIV+ right before arriving… When I first got stateside, I knew when I saw the sticker on the subway “GOD gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers” I felt YES - I am one of those soldiers. 22+ years later through my own healing journey in the world of BDSM, practice of Qigong and Kungfu, sacred sexuality, sensuality and spirituality exploration, continued education and self development, I realized my life mission and purpose after training in the Arts of the Dominatrix, starting Punani Productions Podcast and founding 4L Solutions. 

The Deity of LOVE and her journey represents my survivor story and symbolizes my strength - It brought me to where I am today - now former pro-domme, forever life-long educator, standing strong as a role model and disseminator of knowledge - a Butterfly WARRIOR for FREEDOM and Leader for U=U and decriminalization awareness. Representing my community - survivors of trafficking and consensual sex workers - people who have experienced both - helping others to understand that current harmful laws and policies conflate trafficking by punishing everyone's pleasure as a form of control rather than protecting people’s rights, while promoting the undeniable truth of sexuality, sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR), sexual health and well-being as an existential part of the human experience. Pleasure is our evolutionary birthright and we must uphold dignity for all human beings to evolve our collective paradigm. Through my sexuality research, I aim to dissect the intersectionality of global sex education policies, HIV, Stigma, sex work and trafficking, social justice movements, pleasure and the collective paradigm. 

It is my duty and mission to engage, educate and empower the world, calling you to action ending cycles of shame and discrimination from systems of oppression around sexual health, specifically HIV, STC’s/STMC’s (sexually transmitted conditions/sexually transmitted medical conditions), sex work, pleasure, sex education, language and communication through education and training, research and development, partnerships and collaboration, and global intercultural intersectional movement exchange. By building awareness and solidarity advocating for the full decriminalization of HIV and sex work in global language and policy reform, together, we can make a real difference for public health and happiness, eradicating sexual stigma worldwide.

Since 2018 I have organized with marginalized communities in the Asian migrant massage and sex worker-led grassroots collective Red Canary Song, and through recent coalition work with DecrimNY from 2024 - I discovered that HIV was still criminalized in New York City. This shocking news combined with my work on a CBPR study project with the University of South Florida became fuel for my fire to continue this path of empowerment as a freedom fighter.
